Unapologetically Me: A Journey of Self-Discovery, Passion and Just ... Life

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog! First things first shall we? My name is Lauren #gettingpersonalalready and I am a 23-year-old living with my mom ... and younger brother, sister, dogs and all that. It's not that sad. Anyway, I'm excited to start this journey and share my every (jk) ((no I'm not)) thought and musings with you all.

As you can probably tell from my blog's description, I'm a huge fan of books, coffee and music. These are the things that keep me going and inspire me on a daily basis. You can take that literally by the way. I cannot for the life of me be an actual person without my coffee in the morning and I never had an original thought in my life (all my lines are from books I've read and songs I've listenend to). But truly, I do find joy and solace in these simple pleasures.

On a more serious note, there's another aspect of my life that's just as important to me - my identity as a queer person. It's a big part of who I am so I will be talking about it openly on this blog. I believe that representation and visibility are important and I want to help everyone I can to feel seen and heard, hence why yes, Karen, I do feel the need to rub this in your faces. Uhm yeah, this is my formal way of chasing the bigots off this page. #thankyounext

So, what can you expect from this blog? Well, a little bit of everything really. I'll definitely be telling you not to drink coffee at night while doing so myself and typing away my thoughts about that book I read all night due to a severe caffeine overdose. I'll talk about my pets because ... well, duh. Oh and also, too often I imagine myself being the star of a music video so regular outbursts of lyrics I'm obsessed with are guaranteed.

I'm excited to see who'll join me for this ride (I still haven't got my driver's license). I promise you it's worth it though, I had a marvelous time ruining everything.
