From Caffeine Buzz to Coffee Bliss

As a 23-year old, I have a lot going on in my life. Trying to figure out my career, relationship, and my future. Just thinking about all of thesethings can be draining. But amids all the chaos, there's one thing that keeps me going: coffee.
It's not just to get my ass out of bed in the morning or an afternoon boost. No no, It's a way of life. I'm legit addicted to the stuff. I'm not even sure if it's the taste, the caffeine or just the comforting warmth, but I really cannot focus without it.
My day starts with a cup of coffee, and it doesn't end untill I've had ... well, quite a few more. I've tried to quit, but why would I give up my best friend? A best friend who never judges you, never let's you down, and is always there to pick you up (literally) when you're feeling down.
It's gotten to the point where every single barista at my local Starbucks know not only my name, but also my coffee order. Cafe latte in the mornings, Caramel Frapp in the afternoons. It's a standard procedure. They even give me free stamps on my discount card, earning me lots of free coffees.
But hey, at least I'm not alone, right? There are millions of other twenty-something people out there who are just as addicted to this magical elixir as I am. We're the ones who show up to work/class with dark circles under our eyes, clutching our coffee cups like they're rafts and the only thing keeping us from drowning. (they are) We're the ones who might be late to meetings because we just had to stop for a latte on the way. And we're the ones who will always choose a coffee date over any other type of date. If we're to hang with someone who might turn out to be a complete and total waste of time, at least we had our best friend right by our side. For support.
So, to all my fellow coffee addicts out there, I salute you. Keep on sipping, keep on slurping (not with me around though, my misophonia will make me want to end your life :)) and don't met anyone tell you that you have a problem (Even though you do, like really). Anyway, you're just enjoying life one cup at a time.
So, to coffee, the drink that keeps on giving, keeps the world running and our hearts beating.
